Part I — Privacy Policy
01 · Data controller
In accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Article 11 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD):
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Controller | José Antonio Ramos Miralles |
| Tax ID (NIF) | 75239303R |
| Address | Calle Fernando de Valor 6, 2-4 · 04720 Aguadulce (Almería), Spain |
| [email protected] | |
| Website | soyunperro.com |
The appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is not mandatory, as none of the circumstances set out in Article 37 of the GDPR apply.
The controller maintains a Record of Processing Activities in accordance with Article 30 of the GDPR, available for inspection by the AEPD (Spanish Data Protection Agency) upon request.
02 · Personal data processed and how it is obtained
SoyUnPerro.com has no registration, subscription or contact forms, and no private user area. No personal data is actively requested. The only data processed is that generated automatically as a technical consequence of browsing:
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Anonymised IP address | The visitor's IP address is anonymised by masking the last two octets before any storage. The resulting data does not allow individual identification of the user. |
| Technical session data | Browser type and version, operating system, approximate country of origin (country level, derived from the anonymised IP), pages visited and time spent. This data is recorded on a purely aggregated basis and is not associated with any individual identifier. Device screen resolution is neither collected nor stored. |
| Technical security cookie | Cloudflare sets a strictly technical cookie (cf_clearance). See Part II. |
The site does not use tracking, profiling, advertising or user-identifying analytics cookies. The statistics system (Matomo) operates in cookieless mode (setting no cookies) and with IP anonymisation.
03 · Purpose of processing and legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis | Grounds |
|---|---|---|
| Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics | Legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR | The controller has a legitimate interest in understanding general use of the site in order to improve it. This interest does not override data subjects' rights because: (i) data is anonymised before any storage; (ii) no cookies are set; (iii) no individual profiles are created; (iv) data is not disclosed to third parties. The AEPD recognises this configuration (cookieless Matomo, anonymised IP, self-hosted server) as compatible with legitimate interest without prior consent, in accordance with its Cookie Guidance (July 2023 update). |
| Security against attacks (Cloudflare cookie) | Legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR | Legitimate interest of the controller and users in ensuring the security and integrity of the site. The cf_clearance cookie is strictly technical and is exempt from consent under Art. 22(2) of the Spanish LSSI-CE. |
SoyUnPerro.com does not carry out profiling (Art. 4(4) GDPR) and does not take decisions based solely on automated processing producing effects on data subjects (Art. 22 GDPR).
Right to object — Matomo opt-out: as the basis for statistical processing is legitimate interest, users may object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) via the opt-out mechanism described in section 11 of this policy.
04 · Data retention period
| Type of data | Period |
|---|---|
| Browsing statistics (anonymised and aggregated) | Maximum 13 months from recording, in accordance with AEPD guidelines. Automatically deleted on expiry. |
| Technical security logs | Maximum 6 months, unless retention is necessary to investigate a specific security incident or there is a request from a competent judicial or administrative authority. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in the security of the service and in defending against potential claims. |
Technical security cookie (cf_clearance) | 1 year from being set by Cloudflare, or until the user deletes it from their browser. |
05 · Recipients and disclosure of data to third parties
No personal data is disclosed to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes, or for any purpose unrelated to providing the service.
The only third parties with access to technical data are the following processors, with whom the safeguards of Article 28 GDPR are maintained:
| Provider | Function and safeguards |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) | Network security (WAF, CDN, anti-DDoS protection). Processor certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (EC Adequacy Decision, 10 July 2023, Art. 45 GDPR) and covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). |
| Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) | Hosting of the site and the Matomo server in data centres within the European Union. Processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. |
06 · International data transfers
Statistical data is stored on servers within the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). No international transfer of this data takes place.
Cloudflare may process traffic data in global data centres. This transfer is covered by Cloudflare's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
07 · Data subject rights
In accordance with Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR and Articles 12 to 18 of the LOPDGDD, data subjects may exercise:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR): to find out whether data concerning them is processed.
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17 GDPR): deletion when no longer necessary.
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
- Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): to processing based on legitimate interest. For Matomo statistical processing, see the opt-out mechanism in §11.
Note on portability: The right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) only applies where processing is based on consent or on the performance of a contract. As this processing is based on legitimate interest and no identifiable personal data is stored, that right has no practical application on this site.
How to exercise these rights
Written request to [email protected], stating the right to be exercised and attaching sufficient identification. Response within a maximum of one month (extendable to three months in particularly complex cases).

08 · Data security
The controller has adopted the technical and organisational measures required under Article 32 GDPR: TLS/HTTPS encryption, IP anonymisation before any storage, access controls and perimeter protection via Cloudflare.
In the event of a security breach, the AEPD will be notified in accordance with Article 33 GDPR (within 72 hours) and, where applicable, data subjects in accordance with Article 34.
Part II — Cookie Policy
09 · What cookies are and the legal framework
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor's browser. They may be first-party or third-party, and session-based or persistent.
Article 22(2) of the Spanish LSSI-CE requires prior consent to set cookies, except those strictly necessary for the service. The AEPD's Cookie Guidance (July 2023 update, mandatory since 11 January 2024) expressly recognises the consent exemption for technical security cookies.
10 · Cookies used on SoyUnPerro.com
✅ Cookie audit — June 2026
SoyUnPerro.com uses a single cookie, strictly technical, set by Cloudflare. There are no tracking, analytics, advertising, profiling or personalisation cookies. Analytics operates in cookieless mode. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is displayed: the only cookie present is exempt from that requirement under Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE and the AEPD's Cookie Guidance (2023).
| Name | Provider / Domain | Purpose | Duration | Classification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cf_clearance | Cloudflare, Inc. / .soyunperro.com | Technical anti-bot security verification. Does not track the user for advertising or analytics purposes. | 1 year (persistent) | Strictly necessary technical cookie — exempt from consent (Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE) |

11 · Web analytics — cookieless Matomo and opt-out
SoyUnPerro.com uses Matomo Analytics in a cookieless configuration. Privacy safeguards:
- Sets no cookies on the visitor's device
- The IP address is anonymised (last two octets masked) before any recording
- Data is purely aggregated and anonymous: it does not identify individuals
- The Matomo server is self-hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany): no data is transferred to Google or any external third party
- No cross-site tracking is carried out
How to object to statistical processing (opt-out)
As the legal basis is legitimate interest, users have the right to object to statistical processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). Matomo provides a genuine, accessible opt-out mechanism:
Option 1 — Opt-out from this page: The site's Privacy Policy includes Matomo's official opt-out widget, allowing users to disable tracking with a single click. The opt-out works by storing a preference in the user's browser. If the user switches browsers or clears browser data, the process must be repeated.
Option 2 — Direct contact: Users may communicate their objection to statistical processing by sending a message to [email protected].
Note on Do Not Track (DNT): The Do Not Track signal is not consistently supported by current browsers (Chrome removed support in 2024). For this reason, the primary opt-out mechanism is the widget described above, not the DNT signal.
12 · How to manage and delete cookies
Users can configure their browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking cf_clearance may affect how the site works.
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org — cookie management
- Apple Safari: support.apple.com — Safari cookies
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com — Edge cookies
13 · What SoyUnPerro.com does NOT do with cookies
This site does not set individual analytics, behavioural advertising, social media or personalisation cookies. It does not share browsing data with advertising platforms. It does not carry out cross-site tracking. It does not use fingerprinting or any other alternative identification technique. It does not take part in any advertising data exchange network.
